6/6/2026 National Trails Day Binghamton ADK-Triple Cities Hiking Club Event

Celebrate National Trails Day by “giving back” to the trails.  We’ll be removing fallen tree branches from the trails, as well as clearing them of overhanging branches, cutting back encroaching growth and re-routing sections to avoid wet areas.  We’ll also be replacing missing trail markers nailed to trees. If you have, bring: – Work gloves – Hand saw (*) – Loppers (*) – Weed wacker – Hammer (for trail markers) (*) The Club has a few of these which may be borrowed for the day. Meet at 9 AM at the picnic pavilion parking lot on the south end of the pond, on Vroman Rd located off Scouten Hill Rd.  Google map link — https://maps.app.goo.gl/CqGnnEgpyyFdjkV37 From there, we will break into small teams of around 4-5 people each to cover as many of the trails segments in the park as we can.  Be prepared for potentially muddy areas along some of the trails.  We expect to be out until 2 or 3 pm, but folks can attend for as long as they wish.  Bring lunch, trail snack, and plenty of drinking water (ie- 2 or more liters) and bug spray.
